JOB TITLE:    DIGITAL MEDIA AND COMMUNITY MARKETING STRATEGIST

LOCATION:    WORK FROM ANYWHERE (IN COLORADO)

REPORTS TO:   CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

STATUS:   PART-TIME

 

Summary of Position                                                                                                              

We’re looking for a Digital Media and Community Marketing Strategist to help us in our mission to bring philanthropic resources to community problem-solving so that all people can lead generous, independent and creative livesEach year, we provide grants and scholarships to the community and aid donors with their philanthropic intentions.

Our growing community foundation now needs a passionate Digital Media and Community Marketing Strategist who will drive, shape and grow the conversation around great design for our foundation on all platforms – social, web, print…everywhere.

This role is integral to our identity and our mission to democratize philanthropy because we are not just a foundation – we’re an accessible and integral part of the community.   As the Digital Media and Community Marketing Strategist you will represent the community and help us grow.

What you will be doing

  • Creating and sharing engaging contentwith our online audience, utilizing effective and compelling digital storytelling
  • Meaningfully engage and conversewith our social media audience in a compassionate, caring and approachable way
  • Form partnershipswith influencers, including bloggers and social media thought leaders who could become advocates for our community and our content
  • Optimize every elementof how we engage with our online audience, from the copy on our website, in our social media posts, to the tools and processes we use to maintain conversations with our users — websites, newsletters, email blasts, social media, and other digital media
  • Produce recurring and new collateral materials for LCF including Annual Report, Professional Advisor information, Fund holder communications, etc.

About you

  • You have demonstrated experience with digital media – focusing on content that is effective
  • You are well versed with the unique nuances and technical capabilitiesof commonly used social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • You are a compassionate, convincing, and compelling communicator
  • You have exceptional writing skills, and an appreciation for the power of tone and brevity
  • You have a keen eye for content and you can quickly understand what type of content is meaningful, appropriate and useful in each situation or each platform
  • You are discreet and able to respect and honor our donors’ privacy
  • You have the ability to multitask, organize, and effectively manage a your workload all while remaining flexible in all aspects of work-related actionsHighly Sought After Qualities
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Experience working remotely
  • Experience working in the nonprofit sector and/or knowledge of community foundations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience in public/media relations, brand management, marketing, or journalism;
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Extensive working knowledge of social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn
