More about this organization

It’s a profound and paralyzing experience—for kids grappling with their emotions and those striving to support them. The uncertainty of where to begin can be daunting, especially when thoughts of suicide are involved. Yet, hope remains. At Rise Against Suicide, we empower youth in Boulder, Longmont, and surrounding areas, aged 19 and under, by connecting them with skilled therapists who help navigate their thoughts and emotions. Since 2009, we’ve assisted over 2,200 youth and facilitated more than 18,000 therapy sessions. Nothing should hinder children from accessing the care they require. At Rise Against Suicide, we cover the cost of ten therapy sessions, with ongoing support available if needed. Our mission is clear: to connect youth with therapists while dismantling barriers such as cost, transportation, and bureaucracy. We aim for our youth to heal and grow resilient, guiding them toward a future filled with hope and purpose.
