More about this organization

*Funds will be used for the implementation of the client database, which includes software costs and associated staff costs to digitize current intake forms and client data.

Longmont is home to the largest population of Latinos in Boulder County, at over 25% of the population. In 2023 we served 3,362 participants who were primarily Latino immigrants (99%) and resided primarily in Longmont (75%) and Boulder County, but many came from neighboring counties seeking our services. Ninety-three percent of our clients qualify as very low-income, and the majority only speak Spanish.

In 2023, El Comité served a monthly average of 280 clients per month, which was a 52% increase from 2022. In the first quarter of 2024, we saw an average of 421 clients a month. This is a drastic increase. If these numbers were to continue, the organization will serve close to 5,000 clients by the end of 2024.

El Comité advances equity by ensuring that people who might not otherwise ask for help, are able to successfully navigate systems and get their needs met.
