Intercambio’s volunteer-taught English classes have supported 2,730 adult residents of the St. Vrain Valley to gain communication skills, confidence, and cross-connections. Through language classes and community gatherings, we help immigrants access professional opportunities, support their children in school, communicate with healthcare professionals, and develop a feeling of community belonging. Now more than ever, Intercambio is strengthening its efforts to build a more equitable and inclusive society. Help us to bridge cultural divides and break down barriers of language, culture, race, and socioeconomic status for St. Vrain Valley residents, one conversation at a time.
Our goal this year is to serve 500 adult immigrants in the area. Join us in making a meaningful impact—when more people in our community have access to opportunities, we all thrive together.
Looking for more ways to support our mission? Join our team of volunteer teachers! We offer both in-person classes in Longmont and online, with one-on-one and group teaching options—so you can choose what works best for you. You don’t need prior experience: We train you and provide our Confidence and Connections curriculum, making it easy and enjoyable to teach English. Plus, you’ll be part of our community gatherings and a supportive community of volunteers who empower each other along the way. Can you commit to two 90-minute sessions per week for three months? We’d love to have you on board!
