Alta Park Community Garden

A partnership with the Old North Longmont community and the City of Longmont

Conveniently located in downtown Longmont, Alta Park Community Garden offers full and half-size plots to organic gardeners with all levels of experience. The garden season runs from April 1st through following November 15th, and plots may be rented through Alta Community in partnership with the Longmont Community Foundation. Reduced rates are available for those who qualify.

Eligible gardeners will be sent a plot renewal email in January each year. The renewal period for returning gardeners to complete the registration is mid February. All remaining plots will be made available to the public around February 22 of each year.

New Gardeners:

Individuals wishing to garden in the Alta Community program can register for a plot or add their name to the waiting list by completing the application.  Plots are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

New and returning gardeners are encouraged to read through the Garden Rules  prior to completing the plot registration form.

Reduced Rate Application:

Alta Community Gardens welcomes those to apply who are needing a reduced rate.  To qualify, you must provide one of the following pieces of documentation:

  • Public Housing, documentation or proof that you are living in public housing.
  • Medicaid, copy of current Medical Authorization Card (MAC) OR a letter of verification for Medicaid status
  • Proof of Disability Other than Medicaid

An Adult with a disability may attach proof of disability. Proof includes: proof of SSI or SSDI, a letter stating your disability status from an agency or physician.
