Brian Laartz

Brian Laartz recently retired as a construction executive after over 35 years holding leadership positions with multimillion-dollar construction firms. He specializes in developing and leading teams towards the successful completion of projects and corporate goals with the understanding that the employees are the most successful asset of a business. He has a strong understanding of how private business operates and brings this skill set to the Longmont Community Foundation.

Brian is a current board of director with the Association of General Contractors of Colorado, having held various leadership positions including Chairman and has been involved with several other charitable organizations in the St. Vrain community. Brian has completed many leadership and strategic planning continuing education courses and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.

Brian and his wife Brenda, were was one of the original members of the Longmont Legacy fund to the Longmont Community Foundation and has supported the organization for over 25 years. He is
enthusiastic about helping organizations that improve the education and health of the St. Vrain community….especially children. Brian and his wife Brenda have two children and three grandchildren and have been fortunate to make many friends in the area. Brian has been known to frequent golf courses, enjoys fly fishing, hunting and generally any outdoor activity.
