Carmen Ramirez is the Director for Community and Neighborhood Resources a division of the City of Longmont. She has worked for the City of Longmont for 22 years. She has been involved in several community projects that work to create change within systems and assist in providing more access, inclusion and equity for all community members. She was a cohort in Rockefeller Foundation-NYU Next Generation Leadership Fellowship in 1999-2001. The cohorts focused on conversations of democracy, equity and racism. Over the time together visited communities in the US and South Africa discussing the challenges and successes in their communities from the grass roots to the grass tops levels.
In Boulder County she has been engaged in multiple projects, committees and boards.
