Sandi Swiderski

Sandi retired and returned to Colorado in 2008 to be closer to her son’s family and grandchildren. Settling in Longmont with her husband has been a perfect opportunity to volunteer on the Live and Give Grants Committee at LCF and at the Denver Art Museum. She attended Universities in California, and her career included business management in the US Virgin Islands and being Director at the Windstar Foundation in Old Snowmass. In San Francisco, she was Director of Operations for an international student exchange company, then a Recruitment Officer for the US Peace Corps, followed by Director of a disaster preparedness program with the American Red Cross. Sandi lived and traveled extensively in East Africa, the USSR, and Asia; gatherings with family and friends, volunteering, and travel are still her passions. Growing backyard veggies and studying Arabic keeps her busy these days too.
