Firehouse Art Center

Needs: $3,000
To support a new program at Casa de la Esperanza, Drawing Dibujos, and to grow our SVVSD Artesania Artist Residency. Both are to increase art education resources to the Latino community in Longmont.

Mission

The Firehouse Art Center inspires cultural engagement and human connection by providing life-enhancing experiences through exhibitions, education, and community events. Over 65% of our education programming is offered at no cost to underresourced and marginalized areas of our community. This funding would help us continue to do so.

The Firehouse Art Center is the creative cornerstone of Longmont. Our no admission fee gallery insures that everyone in our community has access to the healing nature of creativity.  Over 65% of our education programs are offered at no cost to participants, who are typically from underresourced or marginalized ares of our community.  Through programs like Art Attack, Slay the Runway, Drawing Dibujos, Studio Project, and the SVVSD Title 1 Mexican Artesania Residency, we strive to improve the lives of our whole community through art.
