Mission

At Good Life Refuge, our central mission is to offer a secure haven and forever sanctuary for abused and at-risk farm animals. However, our vision transcends mere sanctuary status. We aspire to cultivate an environment where healing occurs on multiple fronts – benefiting animals, humans, and the environment alike. Rooted in inclusivity, equity, and responsible stewardship, our core values guide every facet of our operations. At the heart of our ethos lies a steadfast commitment to the ethical treatment of all sentient
beings. We advocate for compassion and reverence towards every life we encounter. Through responsible stewardship, we ensure that both our organization and the animals
under our care are handled with meticulous care, acknowledging the profound responsibility we shoulder.
Education serves as a cornerstone of our approach. We champion the benefits of a plant-centric lifestyle for both humans and animals. Through educational programs and
outreach endeavors, we endeavor to illuminate the transformative potential of conscious choices in forging a better world for all.
Moreover, we recognize the vital importance of nurturing and fortifying the bonds between humans and animals. These relationships not only enhance the animals’ well-being but also foster deeper empathy and interconnectedness among individuals.
As we continue to pursue our vision, we remain steadfast in upholding these core values across all aspects of our organization. By providing a sanctuary that embodies community, healing, inclusivity, and equity, we aspire to catalyze positive change in the lives of all beings, fostering a more compassionate and sustainable world for all.

More about this organization

Good Life Refuge is currently home to close to 70 farm animals, including 10 special needs animals across 12 different species. Our residents come from a variety of backgrounds: 50% are owner surrenders, 35% were abandoned, and 15% were rescued through animal control seizures. Each animal has a unique story, and our mission is to provide them with the care and sanctuary they deserve, offering them a second chance at a better life and a forever home at the sanctuary.
