Mission

Growing Gardens’ mission is to enrich the lives of our community through sustainable urban agriculture.

Our goal is to build a strong local food system that nourishes individuals, our community, and our planet. We accomplish this goal by engaging community members in two types of programs: education about nutrition, gardening, and food, and donations of produce, plant starts, and seeds that increase families’ ability to eat fresh, locally grown produce.

We increase equitable and inclusive food access for historically marginalized communities and also use and teach regenerative and sustainable agricultural methods that promote the health of people and the planet.

More about this organization

We opened our first Food Project Farm in Longmont in 2016, and opened this new Food Project Farm @ 15th Street in 2023 to ensure we can meet the needs of Longmont residents. Please help us continue to grow our produce donations, support families to grow their own food, and educate children, teens, and families on nutrition, gardening, and environmental sustainability.
