Longmont Meals on Wheels (LMOW)promotes client health and independence through good nutrition and social interaction. The agency helps older people and people with disabilities in Longmont, Niwot, Hygiene and Lyons with proper, affordable nutrition so that they can stay self-sufficient in their own homes for as long as possible.
LMOW’s principle program is to provide ready-to-eat home-delivered meals on a sliding scale to older people who are at risk of malnutrition because they have difficulty getting food. The agency also offers daily wellness checks to relieve isolation and check for emergencies. In 2025 LMOW served 113,050 meals to 931 homebound clients.
LMOW also provides community lunches, like at the Longmont Senior Center. In 2025 LMOW served an additional 22,691 community meals to an additional 602 clients.
