Paragon Service Dogs

Needs: $5,000
Funds will support Paragon's volunteer-focused Puppy Raiser program, providing essential care, socialization, and behavioral training over 10-12 months for puppies to become future service dogs.

Mission

The mission of Paragon Service Dogs, an Assistance Dogs International Accredited Member, is to empower individuals with disabilities through the purposeful training of specially selected pups, the meticulous pairing of dog and handler, and unwavering support of the dog/handler team for the lifetime of the match. With 45 years of service, Paragon is a leader in training, partnering, and supporting service dogs and their handlers, having partnered 1,400+ service dog teams nationwide at no cost to clients. Paragon invests ~$20,000/service dog team, including annually raising and training 15 dogs, matching and placing 8-12 dogs, instructing 8-12 clients, and supporting 100+ established teams.

Paragon directly services the Longmont/SVVD area via our outreach, education, and volunteer programming. Paragon’s outreach and education programs reach 1,500+ annually, and the volunteer program engages 60+ community members (youths to seniors contributing 76,000+ hours/year) via various opportunities.
