Mission
The St. Vrain Historical Society, Inc. (SVHS) is dedicated to fostering an appreciation for local heritage through historical education and preservation in Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley. Central to SVHS’ mission is the stewardship of four historic sites (encompassing 15 total structures ) in Longmont, including Old Mill Park, Old St. Stephen’s Church, Historic Hoverhome, and the Hover Farmstead. SVHS focuses on preserving these structures for community benefit, providing access, enjoyment, and educational opportunities. Our initiatives include historical education and outreach to engage the community in learning about and valuing its rich history.

SVHS is embarking on two preservation projects at Old St. Stephen’s Church and the Affolter Cabin at Old Mill Park. Support will allow SVHS to meet is ongoing annual expenses, while we navigate these projects.
