There With Care was founded in 2005 with a mission to provide a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a child’s medical or mental health crisis. We serve families referred by Denver–area hospitals by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations through four program areas: Food Security, Transportation Assistance, Housing Stability, and Patient and Family Essentials. There With Care helps prevent a crisis within a crisis by providing basic needs with compassion and care, bringing hope and stability to children and families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
In 2024, we served 42 Longmont families. Many had to take a leave of absence from work or quit their jobs to travel regularly to Denver to care for their child, further impacting family stability.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and we offer many opportunities to get involved. Volunteers make deliveries to families each week, pack Care Bags and supplies, mail gas cards, bus passes, and gift cards, make blankets and hats for preemie babies, wrap birthday presents, and decorate bags for delivery. We welcome individual volunteers, small groups, and corporate groups to our warehouses in Boulder and Denver.
