Mission

To prepare children for a lifetime of learning and self-sufficiency by providing a comprehensive, individualized approach to early learning and family wellness. Its primary goal is to provide quality early childhood development and education services, and support families in their efforts to increase self-sufficiency and strengthen parenting skills. This is achieved through providing intensive case management support to the low-income families they serve. Additionally, Wild Plum ensures children receive vision, hearing, and dental screenings to address any barriers to learning prior to entering Kindergarten.

More about this organization

Wild Plum serves over 250 children each year – of those, roughly 80% are from Hispanic families. WPC is one of only two Head Start providers in Boulder County, and has been serving the Longmont community since 1968.
