YWCA Boulder County’s mission is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. As an inclusive, secular nonprofit organization, we are publicly funded, not affiliated with any religious group, and welcome people of all backgrounds and genders to participate in our important work.
Active in Boulder County since 1922, over the last 100+ years our programs have evolved responsively to help meet the most pressing needs of local women, children, and families, particularly related to employment, racial bias, education, and childcare. We work to create effective, lasting change by breaking down barriers so all people can thrive and be self-sufficient.
YWCA’s STEM E3 program provides education, career exploration and mentorship for young students through Introductory Jam Sessions and workshops with local and national technology firms and leaders.
Our community programs and partnerships create awareness to lead change locally, and advocate for policies important to women, families, and those experiencing discrimination.
